The Lee & Pearl Toy Fair 2017 Report — Part Three: A Girl For All Time.

We're back with another installment of Lee & Pearl's adventures at this year's Toy Fair in New York. This week, we're focusing on one of our favorite dolls from the show in a size OTHER THAN 18 inches.

Of course, we're talking about the brilliant Frances Cain's breathtaking 16-inch, semi-poseable British-history-based A Girl for All Time® dolls. Any year that Frances brings the girls "across the pond" to New York is a good year, and this year we were thrilled to spend time with the gang yet again.

Here we all are in the AGFAT booth. Frances and "Lee" are having a serious discussion about the state of the toy industry, while "Pearl" points her camera at some old friends — and a few NEW ones as well (more about them below!)

We love these dolls so much that we just released a pattern designed to fit them (as well as Mattel's 18-inch American Girl® dolls and 14 1/2-inch Wellie Wishers®).

We first met Frances with Matilda, Your Tudor Girl™ and Amelia, Your Victorian Girl™ at Toy Fair way, way back in 2012. Right from the start, we were hooked. I think we spent half a day in her booth, talking to Frances and gazing at pretty, soulful doll faces and perfect outfits and accessories.

If you love the perfectly-realized, historic details that American Girl® dolls were once (and occasionally still are) famous for — this line is for you.

Since then, the A Girl for All Time® line has expanded to include Sam, Clementine, Your 1940s Girl™, Lydia, Your Georgian Girl™, and Maya™ and Nisha™ — Your Modern Girls.

This year, we were thrilled to get up-close-and-personal with the NEXT two dolls in the line — Elinor, Your Elizabethan Girl™ and Bex, Your Modern Girl™.

Aren't they stunning? We can't decide which we like better. We love Elinor's sweet face, flaming hair and awesomely detailed costume — and Bex's curls, warm brown eyes, lace top and velvet shorts. Frances, you have really outdone yourself with these two!
