It's the perfect wardrobe basic — and the very first Lee & Pearl™ pattern — now lovingly re-sized and redesigned for A Girl for All Time® dolls and Wellie Wisher® and similar dolls!

The 18 inch version of this pattern came about after our designer tried to find a relaxed fit T-shirt that could be used in layered outfits, for either girl or boy dolls. But every properly unisex, unfitted tee she looked at also featured unfitted sleeves — sleeves that bunched up and got in the way of jackets and other outer garments.

Armed with an understanding of the relationship between the pattern armscye curve and the finished sleeve cap, "Pearl" knew she could do better. The result is this pattern, which sports a relaxed, unisex Plain White Tee-style body merged with a carefully drafted sleeve that fits snugly all the way up to a narrow armhole — ideal for layering under anything you please, like our Pattern 1010 Army Combat Uniform jacket.

We've made that same special adjustment with these new 16 inch and 14 1/2 inch pattern sizes, which feature relaxed, unisex bodies with slender sleeves and a high, close-fitting armhole.

Because we love flexibility, we've included plenty of options with all three pattern sizes. You can make adorable shirts for girl or boy dolls, featuring SHORT or LONG sleeves, and CREW or V-NECK lie-flat collars.

And there's no reason these have to remain PLAIN WHITE tee's. Go crazy with patterned fabrics, contrasting collars — or sleeves — iron-on motifs, crystals, fabric paints, or anything else you please!

We took advantage of these new size releases to slightly update the pattern documents, adding information on making your own tube pressing assistants and including an entire page of directions on how to find and adapt upcycled fabrics and patterns from thrift shop shirts — like these!

The CREW NECK T-SHIRT is an EASY pattern, rated for beginners. The V-NECK T-SHIRT is rated EASY / INTERMEDIATE for the two-step V-neck collar insertion process. And as always, Lee & Pearl's photo-illustrated directions and computer-drafted, guaranteed-to-fit-together pattern pieces make every step as easy as possible!
