A new Girl of the Year™ is coming soon from American Girl® — and we're here to get you ready!

First off, please JOIN US on January 1, 2019 as we welcome Blaire Wilson™ in person.

Both "Lee" and "Pearl" will be at the American Girl store at the Dallas Galleria on January 1, 2019 — and we'd love to meet you!

We'll be on line outside the store from 9:15 AM CST. If you'd like to swing by and join us as we explore the new collection, click on "Contact Us" above and send us a message — or just look for us on line or in the store. The store opens at 10:00 AM and the Girl of the Year festivities last until 1 PM.

NOTE: The American Girl store is in the parking lot of the Dallas Galleria, at 13464 Dallas Pkwy.

Just when we thought American Girl had managed to keep a lid on any leaks for next year's doll, sneak peeks of 2019 Girl of the Year Blaire Wilson — and what looks like most of her collection — exploded all over the doll-webs this weekend.

We're not going to post those pictures here, because you might like a surprise on January 1st. But if you're interested, YouTube and Instagram are good places to start looking.

We ARE going to show you the pretty cottons that we found at JOANN Fabrics to match Blaire's clear, country floral signature palette (above), and — in upcoming newsletters — outfits and accessories that complement Blaire's collection, made with those fabrics and Lee & Pearl™ patterns and tutorials!

Stay tuned as we create a pretty, summery collection with lots of fabric frills and flowers in light, clear green, icy blue, warm lavender, buttery yellow and of course, 2019 Pantone Color of the Year, Living Coral!

Will we make a sweet, summery dress with a high-waisted yoke effect and self-fabric bow trim? Of course we will! What about a pinafore apron with shoulder ruffles and a wide-brimmed sun hat? Check and check.

And we can't wait to turn crisp seersucker into a country-casual, off-the-shoulder top with denim shorts — or pretty jersey fabrics and yarn into a cute tee-and-shorts pajama set with pom-pom trimmed slippers!
