We still need to find just the right buttons for this gorgeous silk topper — and hopefully a nice day with some pretty fall color to get modeling shots of the diaphanous silk in action!

But even without buttons, Pearl can highly recommend the experience of sewing with 100% silk organza. It really is as easy as sewing with ordinary quilting cotton!

And here's one big benefit you won't find with ANY OTHER FABRIC — you don't need to cut out your precious pattern, or trace it onto a separate piece of paper before you start. Just lay the pattern underneath your fabric, and draw the cutting lines and marks directly on the silk with a chalk pencil. Then cut around the chalk lines on the fabric, and put your pattern back in its envelope, untouched and ready to use again.
