We love every detail that Shirley has added to these beautiful dresses. Just look at that machine embroidery and those pleats on the underskirt of Amelia's dress! And the eyelet lace and matching hair ornament on Clem!
Swoon.
Eagle-eyed A Girl for All Time fans may have noticed that Amelia's cascading blonde curls look unusually lush and golden in these pictures. That's because Shirley swapped out her doll's regular light blonde wig for a Monique Gold #481 "Ciara" size 8/9 wig in Light Golden Blonde.
We were so wowed by Shirley's doll's new look that we rushed over to the Monique website and ordered a whole bunch of wigs for our Amelia to try, as well.
Though "Ciara" was sold out in size 8/9, we got a lovely, thick center-part #456 "Ginger" in Golden Blonde. And on a whim, we also picked up this wig which is a #134 "Roxie" in Burgundy.
This wig was love at first sight for our girl!
Amelia looks so cute in this retro 'do that we're going to have to make her some patterns to go with it, don'tcha think?
Speaking of patterns, you may remember that Pattern 1035: Olá Brasil debuted as an exclusive FREE pattern for Lee & Pearl mailing list subscribers a few years ago.
Our current FREE pattern for subscribers is the equally lovely Pattern 1038: The Gift Bow Front Dress for 18 Inch, 16 Inch and 14 1/2 Inch Dolls.
This pattern works beautifully made up in nearly any woven material, from quilting cotton to glorious silk. In these pictures, our American Girl® Lea is wearing a "gift" dress that uses one of our In The Pink silk organzas #21 Juicy Berries for the sleeves and ruched bow front.

Pattern maker "Pearl" has been hard at work all month designing our next FREE pattern for mailing list subscribers.
Pearl finished the process pictures for the pattern document today, and we've got a SNEAK PEEK from that photo session for you right now.
