We're calling the 2020 Mystery Bag Sale our SILKEN LUXURY HOLIDAY edition.

Earlier this year, designer Pearl brought several carloads of beautiful fabrics back to the workroom from a storage liquidation sale at a high-end home fabrics store in Dallas.

Included in the haul were a treasure trove of bolt ends of 100% silk fabric — both slubby dupionis and shimmering shantungs — in an array of rich jewel tones and stunning neutrals.

We could have put those silks in our Etsy store next to our gorgeous 100% silk organzas, but where's the holiday fun in that?

Instead, Pearl cut those silks into generous HALF YARD (18" x 52-55") lengths and we are using those pieces to anchor our 2020 Mystery Bags — with TWO half yard pieces in each USPS Priority Mail padded envelope.

We'll round out the bags with other materials from that high-end fabric store liquidation, as well as treasures from our own collection and from our travels throughout the year.

Materials we can choose from include velvets, velveteen, lamé, crinkle rayon, sateen, brocade, faux leather, faux suede, sequin-studded jersey and anything else we can find that sparkles, rustles, shimmers or shines. And we'll add three hanks of embroidery floss from Pearl's personal collection to each bag before we ship it — just for fun.

NOTE: There will not be any cotton calico in this Mystery Bag edition. But stay tuned for a Spring/Summer 2021 Mystery Bag edition full of our recent new and vintage cotton finds!

Want even more mystery fun? Buy MORE THAN ONE BAG. We'll pack each bag as it's ordered, and we'll make every effort to avoid duplicate contents.
