Follow the diagram and directions in this document to create necklaces for your dolls with a heart-shaped pattern of beads replacing the flowers in our Pattern 1032.

We made our American Girl® Lea's pretty pink necklace using matching size 8/0 and 11/0 seed beads, with yellow size 6/0 beads as the spacers between the hearts.

We used hot pink size 8/0 and 11/0 beads for our American Girl Hazel's necklace, with three black size 8/0 beads as the spacers between the hearts.

We made this necklace to match the hot-pink-and-black doll earrings from the heat-shrink plastic accessory craft included in our Pattern 1984: Retro '80s Romper with Shaped Belt, Shoulder Pads and Heat Shrink Buckle Craft for 18 Inch Dolls.

Want to make even smaller-scaled jewelry for smaller dolls?

We made this dainty necklace for our 16 inch A Girl for All Time® Clementine using nothing but size 11/0 beads. The tiny beads made this a slightly more challenging project, but we love the way it turned out.

For an easier project, use LARGE beads — like the size 6/0 and 8/0 beads in the necklace above — to make human-scale necklaces for yourself and your friends.

The directions are the same, it's just the size of the bead that changes!
