It's the last day of the Lee & Pearl™ Anniversary Sale!
Nine years ago we sold the first Lee & Pearl pattern in our Etsy shop and began this wonderful adventure with you. Every year since, we've celebrated our birthday with a big blowout sale — and that sale ends at midnight (central) tonight!

After you fill your Etsy shopping cart with PDF patterns from our store, be sure to browse our fabrics and physical patterns before checking out. Even though they are electronic, those PDFs count toward the $35 total that earns you FREE US shipping on the physical products — which during the sale can be like getting a discount on top of a discount!
In yesterday's newsletter we shared some of our favorite PDF pattern photos. But with that $35 FREE shipping total in mind, let's take a look today at our fabrics and paper patterns...
Our patternmaker Pearl has been a pattern collector her entire life. This year she started selling some of those patterns in our Etsy shop.
Every week, Pearl posts more patterns. We now have shop sections for contemporary women's patterns, men's patterns, vintage patterns, vintage reproduction patterns, accessories patterns, costume patterns, doll and craft patterns and kids' patterns.
Here are just a few of the hundreds you can browse in our Etsy shop!
Once you're done browsing patterns, spend some quality time in our Fabric & Trim section to make the most out of that FREE shipping!
We recently added two beautiful new collections of 100% silk fabrics which we're offering in convenient half yard increments, perfect for crafting heirloom doll clothes.
Here are the available colors of lightweight 100% Silk Shantung:
And here are the subtle shades of semi-sheer, figured 100% Silk traditional Korean “Sukgosa":
We used these fabrics to create a gorgeous turn-of-the-last-century outfit for our American Girl® Nellie, using a pattern that we bought from Med Welch on Etsy. You can find more details for this outfit — and a whole suite of beautiful photos — in this previous newsletter.
We still have a limited supply of previous silk fabric collections as well, such as last winter's release of shimmering 100% Silk Shantung Strié.
We made this 16" version of our Pattern 3001: A Late Medieval Lady's Wardrobe gown for our A Girl for All Time® Lydia using the Cranberry Shimmer silk from this collection — because a stunning doll deserves a stunning dress!
We also have a range of scrumptious colors of 100% Silk Organza still available in both by-the-yard listings and curated five-half-yard kits. Here are a few of those colors:
We've made lots of beautiful items from these light and sheer — but architecturally crisp and sturdy — silk organzas, such as this flower pot hat and and coat ensemble for Melody, which we made using Pattern 2064: Posh Accessories and Pattern 1025: She Blinded Me with Science. Her dress is made out of our silk shantung, by the way, using the slip pattern from Pattern 1943: Molly Waves Goodbye.
Here's a silk organza blouse that we made using Pattern 1031: Classic Wrap Dress and Peplum Top — and a dress that we made using a mixture of silk organza and sukgosa using Pattern 1038: The Gift Bow Front Dress.
Silk organza is also the ideal fabric for our Pattern 1074: Ballet Costume Accessories tutu plates, like this Gingerbread Cookie plate from Pearl's Nutcracker costume collection.
Finally, silk organza is a WONDERFUL fabric for making your own special occasion outfits and accessories — like this Vogue Pattern 9291 evening shrug that Pearl rocked one New Year's Eve. She used a coordinating color of the Korean sukgosa for the lining and base layer on this wrap.
Along with silks, we still have a few fabrics from our autumnal Collegiate Collection, which we used for the outfits featured in this previous newsletter.
And just in time for the sale, Pearl re-activated our holiday and novelty calico print selections. Only a few of these fabrics are doll scale, but they're just so durn cute we had to offer them in our Etsy shop for all your OTHER crafting, quilting and sewing projects!
