You've been so good all year and now you deserve something special. That's why we've tucked so many special things into each of our 2022 Lee & Pearl Fabric Mystery Bags.

We haven't featured such a variety of materials, colors, patterns, textures, weaves and everything else since our very first set of bags back in 2015 — and for the same reason. Every half-dozen years or so, our designer "Pearl" sweeps through our workroom material boxes, drawers, bins and crates to bring our glorious collection of doll fabrics back down to the bare minimum, to make room for new fabrics in the coming years.

That sweep took place last month.

Pearl is now surrounded by piles of gorgeous fabric, all sorted and prepped and ready to pack into USPS Priority Flat Rate Padded Bags to share with our doll-sewing friends. Each Mystery Bag will contain at least eight pieces of fabric, hand-picked by Pearl to suggest coordinated outfits.

You may recognize some of those fabrics from our photo shoots and sample Lee & Pearl pattern garments. For example — we made a cap and jacket for Chrissa out of the brown linen in this assortment, and a medieval kirtle for our A Girl for All Time® doll from the gold rayon blend!

We made a halter maxi-dress from the floral silkie in the center of this grouping, and a retro romper for Ivy from the New Wave polka dots right above it.

We've used just about all of these jersies and lycra-blend performance fabrics for sample garments — like our ruffled swimsuit for WellieWishers™ and workout t-shirt for our A Girl for All Time doll.

And who can forget the pinafore apron we made with one of these seasonal calicos?

A few of the fabrics that we've used in the past offered a unique opportunity because we had large pieces of them and also had matching amounts of the coordinating fabrics and other materials needed to recreate the sample garment looks.

• ⅓ yard (12" x 44") vintage rayon blend shirting in bold '80s stripes (for the romper)
• Fat quarter (18" x 22") 100% cotton calico in coordinating warm yellow (for the lapels)
• 8" x 18" strip of lightweight vinyl faux leather in rich black (for the belt)
• Three 8 ½ x 5 ½ half-sheets of Grafix® sanded heat shrink plastic film with an instruction sheet (for the belt buckle and '80s earrings)
  

The Snow Queen Bonus Pack includes:

• ½ yard (18" x 58") high quality Mystique nylon/lycra/spandex performance fabric in an icy aqua blue with "shattered glass" holographic metallic printed dots
• ½ yard (18" x 58") high quality stretch mesh (82 nylon/18 spandex) in an icy sky blue
• One package of coordinating ¼" square sequins
